Yes, mowing your lawn once a week is recommended for two reasons. First, mowing each week will reduce weeds in your lawn, and second, regular mowing will keep your grass healthy and vigorous.
Aerating your lawn is best done when it is growing. You want your lawn to be able to recover quickly from aeration. We see the best aeration results when it is done in the fall.
